Did you just come here so I could watch you write?

Oh, Joan. My thoughts exactly.

The same reasons why she and Sylvie had enough with Bob are why I was quick to be done with him too. Kind of a one-note performance by Chalamet (enigmatic troubled contrarian just isn’t really cinematic) because Dylan is a one-note character (intentionally so). His music speaks for him.

Boyd Holbrook as Johnny Cash was hilarious, though. And Ed Norton’s Pete Seeger as the heart of the whole is the reason to watch. Now there’s an actor: all Mr. Rogers “aw shucks” on the surface, but a full, complicated, and empathetic soul underneath.
