I always knew it would be stupid. I just didn’t realize it was actually intentionally and cartoonishly stupid. That self-awareness makes all the difference.
A lot of fun. Everyone commits to the bit (having Crispin Glover never utter a word is perfection). And what a crazy good cast. By the time Melissa McCarthy pops up, I found myself caught off-guard again thinking the well of familiar faces must have already run dry.
