I’m in the mood for a little vivisection.

I didn’t expect this to be SO goofy. A perfect role for Michael J. Fox. Jeffrey Combs is certifiably insane. And Dee Wallace and Jake Busey are the best sort of Natural Born Killers deranged.

The script is ALL. OVER. THE. PLACE. Are we actually supposed to believe the schmaltzy blossoming romance? How about the convenient character ties to hasten things just so the interminably long climax can slow them to a crawl as the lowest stakes possible feign danger?

I bet the effects were pretty cool in 1996, though.
